Hack web cams..

Posted: August 9, 2010 in Technical

Hacking web cameras is as easy as querying google search engine for a string that reveals unsecured web servers that host network cameras.

Using the “inurl”, “intitle” etc we can narrow our search for specific pages that google crawled and found web camera service.

So how it’s done??

Search for : inurl:ViewerFrame?Mode=

and click any page that loads up.

Other interesting query strings..

allintitle:”Network Camera NetworkCamera”

intitle:”Live View / – AXIS”

intitle:”netcam live image”

intitle:”live view” intitle:axis

You can find all sorts of interesting things with these searches, security cameras, street cameras, cameras inside high tech microchip fabrication plants, cameras guarding small baby rodents.. and some you can even tilt, pan, rotate and zoom.. have fun and comment..

of freedom of speech..

The picture above was intended to mock the enemies of free speech. But if you give it a thought, the fat king is right.

Freedom of speech is a keyword that emphasizes the importance of human rights. It gives us a strong feeling of the fundamental rights that we poses by birth. The right to say what we feel, like, want. It reminds us that mankind swept away the menace of slavery and each person on this earth is equal and free by birth.

However, as the king in the picture says watch your language! he warns his people of the mess this could cause you if you are not careful.. Freedom of speech is not a license to fuck with people.

We all have our sweet spots. Limits. Beyond which, we are hideous. For some it’s their loved ones, others may have deceased friends, sick mother..etc. And still for others it’s their religion.

Freedom of speech fools no one.

Last semester, I got myself a little project for my Electronics course. A Dot Matrix display.

This was my first experience with these things, and even though these displays are very common, ive never had any real interest in them. They are kinda too complex for the simple task of displaying text!!

So, two weeks later I had a ‘sorry’ array of LED’s lined up in a matrix interfaced with PC parallel port, and they did their best to display vague numbers.. However, I did implement some fun animations just to play with it.

I came to know the hard way that 3*4 is too less to display something clearly, but more rows/columns gives more stuff to think about… I guess there’s just no end to my laziness..
